I am humbled by my own ignorence at becoming involved with such a company as this. My son is graduating high school and as a celebration we wanted to take the family on a vacation to Mexico. I received this fax at the hospital where I work. Thinkinking it could be the perfect opportunity with such discounted prices we could possibly pull it off. I first called America Vacations and spoke to Sean Mitchell x1034. He promised he could get us a family package at the Riu in Cabo. It would include 2 suites accomidating 6 adults and 1 child all inclusive beach front rooms! WHAT was I thinking? After paying for the package I could not get a hold of any person that could help me book. I finally after several calls and long waits was able to reach someone who sent me a resort list with available options. NO RIU, that is for sure. Instead, there were only two hotels in Cabo and one of them required large upgrade fees. The other was a dumpy motel in the middle of town, no beach, no all inclusive, no alcohol on premises, no suites. I tried to call the company and inquire and was repeatedly put on hold, and then hung up on as if accidentally. This company asks for identity information that is a little scary. They want pictures of the front and back of your drivers license. I wonder if anyone has ever actually received a vacation from them ever. They intentionally try to block you from booking. The Never offer what is promised, and will hang up on you if they know they already have your money. DONT DO IT!!!!!!
