Wanting to take my 80 year old mother on a 3 day stay in Palm Springs California, I contacted Booking.com. I scheduled a stay at the Marqui’s Villa Resort in Palm Springs. For personal reasons, traveling with a 80 year old I was not able to stay the first two nights, So I tried to cancell, which was not allowed. I tired to cancell the 2 first nights and than stay the 3rd night. I made an honest mistake online and called booking.com right away and told them I messed up. They told me they could not do anything, I than called the hotel, they said sorry, we can’t do anything. So to make a long and painful story short, Im out $392 while both the hotel and booking.com got their monies, as far as Im concerened It is stealing. I have informed my 4000+ friends on facebook about this behavior and hope they also will be careful next time they book a hotel room. I ended up having to pay full price for another hotel for the 3rd night, while the hotel got their full price and selling my room. Dishonest..
