The only people saving this practice are the nurses who do your prep before (take blood, medical history, etc). They are kind, attentive, and show respect for the patient and actually enjoy their jobs. The front desk staff are rude, unenthusiastic, and completely helpless. Unfortunately, we are all use to front desk staff in Dr.s offices being rude- but this is the worst I’ve experienced. Had an early morning appt for routine exam of which I informed them I could only take if I was out of there by 9:30.
When I got there they informed me the dr was at the hospital on rounds and would probably be 40 minutes late. I couldn’t believe they couldn’t phone me to inform of this and reschedule if need be. When I kindly expressed that I needed to leave by 9:30 the girl at the desk had a complete “talk to the hand” attitude and got into it with me. When I did finally see Dr. Casadaban not only did she not even apologize for the lateness or ‘error’ of scheduling but she seemed put off by the fact that she had to do a second exam on me (the first results came back inconclusive).
Then to make it worse- it was evident to me that she was having some difficulty getting a proper pap to which she made a comment about how long my (you know what) is… insinuating it is somehow my fault that she can’t get a test sample!!! In my 18 yrs of going to doctors not only have a never had any other doctors have a problem in this area but for a dr to comment on your body is uncalled for and completely unprofessional!!!! Will not be going back- I left that office feeling pretty beaten down and shocked.
