About 5 mos. ago, I accompanied my friend to Circuit City College Point as he is intersted on having a reliable PDA. Of course, it was thru my recommendation to buy at Circuit City. My friend is a doctor and he needs it to record his daily routines, medical infos, etc. This past weekend we both went back to the store because his PDA is not working. We explained to the customer service that it deleted files and infos after synchronizing it with the computer. Proudly we advised her that it is a good thing that we purchased their extended warranty wherein during that time of purchase we were told that it would cover the unit if it malfunction guess what the customer service said???? nShe handed a little brochure, encircled a paragraph stating that we need to call a 1-800 number to fix the problem. I showed her the other page that states “you won’t get stuck with a broken item”” The lady shrugged her shoulder and says nothing…..I would appreciate if someone will help us settle this problem. BTW we called that 800 number and reported the problem…they advised us to send the item to their office and will take about 2-3 weeks for processing…Where is the justice here? n2 more weeks and I will file a complain to Better Business Bureau
this kind of confusing scam must be STOP! We felt ripped big time by Circuit City cause we always purchase electronic items on this store including that ext warranty. This is the first time that we are going to use this extended warranty and we were disappointed! To all health care workers….BEWARE of Circuit [email protected][email protected]%##@ nNelsonnFlushing
