My son, who is on Active Duty, was transferred to Georgia from Connecticut. He came home for leave and recently flew Continental Airlines through Texas to Jacksonville Florida. Since he was being transferred he had all of his possessions with him which he packed into 1 large suitcase and three smaller cases as well as two carry-ons. The airline stipulates you can have up to three bags weighing no more than 70 kilos; his luggage came no where near that weight, but he had four bags to check in. The airline charged my son $100.00 US to take one extra bag, had I not been there to pay for it he would have had to leave a bag at the airport because it already cost him $300.00 US for the travel ticket. Way to go Continental. Way to show your true patriotism. Next time he flies Southwest.
