The judgement came down around 3 am, on Friday against Robert Nolan in Floyd Superior Court. Dr. Nolan had been convicted on four felonys which include rape and child molestation of a 17-year-old girl. He is also facing allegations from four other female patients from his Chiropractic Center on Veterans Parkway in Clarksville. The incidents have been dated as last year in the reports. Prosecutor Keith Henderson reportedly told that Nolan could possibly face up to 31 years in prisonment. Nolan was directly dragged into the Floyd County Jail, and will be back in the conrt by the end of july for sentensing of his crimes. The first four sexual abuse charges came from four women out of which two were teenagers – who were his patients at his former Clarksville clinic. Later, in Floyd County, the prosecutor had filed four more charges, after they found out that a teenage relative of his came forward with some serious accusations. The 17-year-old girl was from his own family who brought forward charges of child molestation, seduction, and rape. The verdict that came that came out was related to hid family victim, he is yet to face charges in cases of other female patients. Robert’s clinic website states that he volunteered at New Albany High School – where he attended sports events and worked directly with the school students. The 38-year-old also volunteered to help school children in their co-curricular activity of directing traffic outside Christian Church which says: “With God, all things are possible.” Nolan’s neighbor’s were shocked when the charges were first uncovered. “I can’t even imagine. I can’t go there. It’s such an odd thing to think that somebody could be that way and even though so normal and helpful and friendly, just like anybody you would see out there. Maybe there’s this double life thing going on or something,” said one of his neighbours. Nolan closed his clinic after he faced the first set of charges against him in 2009. He moved back to Portsmouth, Ohio and left the victim behind in Floyd County, Indiana and later turned himself into Indiana authorities. He confessed his crimes, he told the police that he sexually abused his relative in his home. Authorities have advised their colleagues in other cities to investigate sexual crimes committed by him before the year 2005. Nolan pleaded guilty for raping family his own family member. But after sometime he withdrew his not guilty plea and admitted to child molestation, sexual misconduct with a minor, and child seduction. He has been sentenced to 30 years in prison in the Floyd County case, and rest of the verdicts will come out by July.
