I signed up for Autopay back in August 2018 to end in August 2019 and suddenly GM financial stopped withdrawing payments in January. I never cancelled anything nor did I receive any correspondence that my payment was past due until 42 days after my payment was due my husband who’s phone number is secondary on the account gets a call informing him that the account is past due!
This is the first time that I’ve ever heard from the company regarding this. I made the payment immediately and called to find out what happened.
They had no explanation on why the autopay wasn’t working but I’m the one that’s now suffering with an impacted credit score because they submitted it to the credit bureau as delinquent. I had nothing to do with the payments not being withdrawn and this is not my fault but customer service can’t take responsibility for their mistake.
