Complaint: These people contacted me to design their renovation. At the end of the process John Ujfalusi , was unhappy about what he saw as a delay in completing the project, and told me he wanted me to give him the work, but he didn’t want to pay for it.I had driven 45 minutes to meet him at his house to show him the work, and finalize the project per our contract. After I refused to givehim the work he blocked me from exiting his house. Finally getting an opportunity I rushed to my car, where my wife, was a passenger, and witness, with John chasing after me. We argued,then he finally said thathe would pay the balance owing. With great reluctance, after my wife’s urging me to take the cheque, and end the conversation with Ujfalusi, I relented and took his cheque. He swore , in front of my witness, that the cheque was “good””
