Went to visit a relative recently moved this week to National Rehabilitation. Immediately when I walked into the room, there were open alcohol pads scattered on the floor with the wrapper. Not impressive whatsoever, especially since the staff were walking in and out of the room. Patient care could be extremely better. My relative informed me that he has to request the nursing station to turn him frequently.
I am sure that there are probably written standard orders in his chart for him to be turned routinely so why should he be notifying them to turn him. He is not already paying enough for this room. MedStar, please do better. You are getting paid substantially well to provide better care.
