Office Max TT Systems is a SCAM waste of time; forget about rebate. Walled Lake, Minnesota!!
Bought a phone and a caller ID box in April/2002. Sent in the mail in rebates for $ 20 the same day….Coupon (without a phone number) said: “allow 10-12 weeks for delivery”…Until now I have not received any notice or the mail in rebate….Called Office Max on 7/16/2002 to inquire about my mail in rebate. Was given a disconnected phone number 1-866-738-5046….Called again, talked to “Liz”. She asked me to fax a copy of my documents to her, sent the fax out 10 min later. Until today no response….Called again. Asked to talk to Liz: “It is not possible to talk to a specific representative. We don’t have anything on file, send it again and wait another 6 weeks before you call again”…Obviously it is Office Max strategy to play a game with their customers until they (hopefully) give up one day and forget about their mail-in rebate. A mail in rebate from Office Max is more likely a lottery ticket, especially, if it is for more than $ 3.99. Obviously the fact that a customer has not received his rebate after 5 months does not give them a reason to escalate the problem to someone who tries to find out what happened. Their customer service reps. claim that they need 6 weeks to receive a fax because it comes from a different department !…Poor company that there is not a fax machine (that’s what they are selling…) in the reach of their reps. I personally don’t even believe it. Probably this is just something what they are instructed to tell a customer to keep him waiting for another 1 1/2 months. Then, when he calls the next time and talks to someone else (because he will never be able to talk to the same rep. again), he will receive the answer that nothing was received and they can start the game all over again….Steven…Phoenix, Arizona
