As per above, I cancelled the ticket in less than 48 hours, as I found out that I needed to be present in the US while doing my job, and couldn’t do it from Australia due to physical presense requirement (I’m an IT Project Manager). On 07/12/2016 I wanted to book another ticket through Air New Zealand for the above credit. I found a $1,087 ticket, and knowing that I have to pay $200 airline penalty, I said – I can do this. When I called them, they wanted to charge me total of $1,800 (so from my pocket, I would have ended up spending $600 extra). After hours of being wtih them on the phone, they wanted to give me the new ticket for an additional $460 (they took $160 off the initial $600 extra). Air NewZealand gave me the ticket for $1,001.XX. They were so professionally, and they confirmed that the Airline Agency (One Travel) is having their own policies and rules, which obviously, are not properly shared to the public. Air New Zealand said they don’t charge any airline penalty, and that they have NOT gotten any funds from my initial booked ticket in June 7, 2016. OneTravel agents didn’t want to be on the phone with Air New Zealand, to confirm what’s happening. 3 times they hung up the phone on me while I attempted to put Air New Zealand on the phone, as well as the travel insurance. I’ve spent probably 8 hours on waiting, and talking, and waiting again. This business is not professional at all. Lessons learned: Never do business with a company who can’t keep their word, and who’s objective is to rip off existing customers. After this experience, I decided I will buy a ticket directly through the Air NewZealand, as supposed to doing it through One Travel. Yes, I ended up spending $1000 from my pocket, again – but Air New Zealand was very professional, and OneTravel didn’t deserve the addtional $600 (yes, I would have saved $400 if I would have went through them, but they do NOT deserve my money, and I rather spend the extra money on another company who knows how to treat customers). OneTravel.com is a total rippedoff company! Please do NOT buy from them! I’m so done with them.
