I went to Papyrus to order Birth Anouncements when I was nin months pregnant. I picked out these beautiful custom cars with the photo as a magnet and the stats would be printed on them. I ordered 50, which came to $150.00. I also paid for them to be shipped directly to my house where I don’t live close the the store. The young woman told me that it would take 1 week to order the anouncements once they had the picture of the baby. I had the baby on October 9, 2005. I came into the store on Friday Nov. 4, 2005 with the picture that I wanted for the magnets, and the information they needed, like birth date, time, weight, etc. The girl then told me that it was going to take 2 weeks for the order. I then said, okay, what’s another week. She told me that it had to wait till Sunday the 6th to be ordered because only the manager can do the ordering. I figured that it would arrive by 21st if November. That would be two weeks. When Thanksgiving came and went, I was getting a little nervous, I didn’t have the anouncements, so I called the store. Again, the girl said that she didn’t know the status and I had to wait for the manager to call me back on where my order was. 4 days later, the manager called saying that the order was shipped to the store. This was Friday, December 1st. I told her that I paid for shipping to my house, and she was going to place the package through UPS that night. I didn’t get the package till December 5, that Monday night. I looked on the package and it was ordered Ground. NOT OVER NIGHT! I am now getting upset, because I paid for the shipping. When I opened the package up to see the order, the stats on the magnets were wrong, which I gave the correct information because the girl wrote it on the envelope where the picture was placed. I got that back and it was writen down correctly. The person who ordered everything gave the wrong information. Then when I looked at the actual cards, the two top ones where scratched!!! Now I am getting mad. They were all counted for, and I waited for exactly a month for these which was damaged goods! I couldn’t send them out. They were wrong! I called the store, and it only got worse. After explaining what happened to the cards, the manager who ordered them, started to blame me for the wrong information. I gave the right information. I didn’t make her give it out wrong! Then when I told her that I couldn’t send them out, that they were ruined, she still didn’t understand why they were damaged. I then expressed that I was told the wrong time frame that they would be ready, and that I paid for shipping to my house, and they couldn’t give me extra cards because they were scratched. I told her it was too late to make more because my baby is now two months old. She is no longer a new born. The birth anouncements was ruined and too late to send them out. I was so upset! I was treated horrible and got ruined anouncements that I paid already, and expensive ones too! nShe then said she would call the company to see what happened like she wasn’t blaming her self for any of it. She finally called back after a couple days and said that they would reprint them and over night it to me. I said for free? She said no, that they won’t credit me back if they reprint them. I told her that I didn’t want them now and to credit me back. She said she would call the customer service to cancell and call me back. I am still waiting for the phone call back.
