This office has one strike against them with me now. The first time I went, even though it looks like a correctional officer’s office, I gave it a chance. It is an old and dreary office that is badly in need of updating, painting, or renovating. But the staff was nice and I liked the doctors (Dilworth and the nurse practitioner). They were very thorough, it seemed, and even knew the results of a previous test I had taken elsewhere. But today when I went back for my follow up appointment the door to the office was locked. There was no note, no message – nothing. I waited for a few minutes, thinking maybe the receptionist had stepped out or it was late getting open.
I called the office to see if anyone was inside but got voicemail. I thought I could hear voices inside so I knocked. Nothing. Finally after waiting around another 10 minutes, I heard voices on another door so I knocked there. The PA asked “Who is it?” then opened when I said I was there for my appointment. She said that they had called everyone “about a week ago to reschedule and that they were closed.” No one had called me, nor the other lady that showed up as I was leaving.
The PA insisted that they had proof they called everyone and said that the doctor had been in yesterday (Monday). I had to ask when they would be open again and she said next Monday (almost a week away). Considering I had not received a call last week NOR yesterday when the doctor was there (I could have come in yesterday!!!) and the fact that I received an email confirmation of the appointment today, this was a huge waste of my time and very unprofessional. I will give this office one more chance.
