Hello there, my name is Dayana and I became a customer of Rentway’s before the had merged with Rent a Center. And since then it has been complete chaos. Ron was the previous manager there and maybe it was due to his ethnicity that he worked extremely well with his customers and the service was kind and unbeliebably wonderful. He understood certain situations although there is no excuse for late or non payment. When it came up to dealing with these issues he handled them in a very respectful manner. He didn’t threat and or harrass, and made his point clear and thorough the one time. That’s all it takes. The entire crew at rentway prior to the move, was wonderfull, they were what customer service rep are supposed to be like. You need support they are THERE> You have a problem with your merchandise, they pick it up…now they are the opposite of what they were. I am getting harrassed! Call after call, it’s ridiculous. I don’t owe any money ladies and gents..they are harrassing me because i returned a computer for repair, supposively a new out of the box computer. I was told it would take at most 2 weeks. It took almost 4. Then I was upset because they wanted me to pay for weeks i didn’t have my d**n computer. Are they on drugs??? I mean, I have a job, so does my husband, and unfortunately we live paycheck to paycheck, and the whole point of Rentway is to give us lower income families the opportunity to obtain items that we currently can’t purchase at full cost. If we were rich, I would go buy them at full price, cheaper elsewhere. Therefore, your sense of nature toward your customers as it is geared to minorities as well as lower to middle class families should be handled very differently. They don’t seem to understand that threats or harrassment phone calls are not something people in that class take very well. We have but so many item we own, and we hope to own those items from rentway in the future. Why would you want to stress hardworking people who try their best to juggle monthly bills and deserve the chance to have luxury items or good things in their homes, whether it’s a stove to cook on or a bed for the kids to sleep on so that they wont have to sleep on the floors till mom and dad built up enough money to buy them one. The customers they recieve are these people, its the dad who’s in construction but wants the best for his family, so he struggles just so his little girl could have her bedroom set. Its the single mother who works her a*s off to survive and take care of her 2-4 kids and would like her kids to have a nice tv to watch while she works her 2nd and 3rd shift job. Cause she can’t afford a sitter, so the tv is sometimes the sitter. Sad but true. If we were all making good money, tell me why would we go to RENTWAY? Why? No reason what so ever…it’s double the money on some most items, and why would i want to continue paying if i have the money to buy it cheaper at the store of my choice with a better warrantee then rentway gives during my rental time with their merchandise. It is just so sad how racist they have become and how their attitude toward the customers that have stood by their side for so long has gotten so poor. I just don’t understand it. I have reported them to the BBB, and am just hoping something more comes out of all of our reports. Because it just really gets to me how offended I feel being a latina myself, who works paycheck to paycheck, and am on state for food, and medical, and am trying to get by and make more money so that I can get off state as well. We all have problems…we all have bills, and i don’t ever pay late, and have never missed any payment. EVER. So why be treated so badly. No reason. I thought Colortyme was bad.
