Made three on-line hotel room reservations for the Bonaventure Hotel. First, I thought I was making the reservations directly with the hotel. The search engine brought this web site up first and looked exactly like the hotel’s real webswwite. When booking, I inadvertently used a debit card to make the reservations and wanted to change the pay method (since they charge your card immediately). Customer service advised since the debit card was already charged, I would have to cancel the reservation and re-book. I was then told there would be a $14.00 “Service Fee”” to cancel the reservation per their policy. I feel very strongly this is a bogus business practice since their “”system”” does not allow for a change or reversing a charge transaction.”
