I made the mistake of not adequately supervising an order my duaghter placed for a gown for her school formal on the internet. She didn’t notice the shipping fee was exorbitant. The gown arrived with large snags and holes in the very front of the gown at the waistline. Very noticeable damage..Impossible not to notice or to fix….I finally spoke to someone at OnlyGowns and told him the problem. He said that all their gowns go through “quality control” and no refund would be given. I don’t know what the words “quality control” mean to this particular company. I do know that it’s not an overall problem with Indian products as I have found through personal contact with a number of them that they are, in general, people of integrity….So after threatening to trash the company on the internet through this site and others and also mentioning that I was going to call my VISA card company to dispute the purchase, the guy who I was speaking with realized i wasn’t playing so he told me to call back at 1:00 am my time to speak to the manager who is, supposedly, the only one who can make refund decisions. I called him, he wasn’t in, and I was told to email them my address for a refund. I’m returning the dress, I’ve disputed the VISA charge with the bank, I’ve made this report and will also see if BBBOnline can help….I will advise with an update as soon as I have one….Thank you Ripoffs.org for this reporting venue.
