My fiance’ and I decided to take a trip to Jamaica. Unfortunately, we didn’t take the time to get our passports first before purchasing the trip, & from what I was told, it takes at least 6 months to get a passport. So without further investigating & very nervous about the matter, I searched online for a possible travel place that couldhelp get our passports faster. I found RUSHMYPASSPORT.COM on the net, promising to send out passports in days. I signed up withthem in the beginning of February. The day that we depart for our trip is March the 6th. Til thisday, my fiance’ has still not recieved his passport. That charged us 280.00 a passport(I had to purchase two of them, including mine). The first time we sent off everything that they asked for. When I realized that days were going by & we haven’t yet to recieve any email alerts or phone calles, I called my agent to inform her about it. She informedme that they(washington passport agency) misplaced our documents. A week had went by already, so I aksed was we still gonna get our passports on time. I purchased this trip as a package, so if we miss thistrip, I lose 1000.00. Shetold me and reassuredme that we have plenty of time. The next couple of days, I recieved my passport in themail, but my fiance’ did not. Ofcourse I calledabout it, because it didn’t make sense when we sentoff documentsfor both of us in thesame fedex envelope. When I finally got in touch withher, she said that he need additional documents. She emailedus a supplemental questionaire to fill out, another form for leeter of authrization,& a pre paid fedex label. We sent the additional documents only for them to contact usby email that the processing was on hold because the documentswere incomplete. At this time, we’re getting nervous, frustrated, and angry. Our agent sent us a requirement list of other things that needed to be sent like a (long form) birth ceritificate, year book, hospital records, among other things. We sent the other stuff & other documents that they didn’t even ask for. We knew for sur that he was going to get his passport this time. a week before our trip & they send us another email saying thathis processing are still on hold. Moredocumentsare needed. At this point im furious because it’s Friday evening, & I won’t be able to contact our agent for the next two days. Plus, there was no additional info on whatelse needed to be included. The following Monday, we recieved no phone call from ouragent. No email, & I called numerous times only to leave a bunch of messages. Tuesday, we’ve managed to send more documentsalong with a notirized affidavit, & now here it is Wednesday night & we still have not heard from anyone. tomorrow is Thursday & we suppose to leave for this trip on Friday. If he doesn’t recieve his passport Tomorrow, I have lost 1000,00 on this trip & 280.00 for this passport that we never recieved. It’s bad enough that I didn’t really need their services to begin with. A postal employee told me that with that much time we had, I could have gotten mypassport expedited by my local post office & recieved both of our passports within a week or two for 90 bucks a piece. Im sadden, angey, very dissapointed & feel like I’ve been tooken. I advice anyone who isreadingthis, if you decide to get your passport expeditedby a “third party””
