San Diego attorney Scott McMillan has become well known, for everything but the practice of law. Most recently, Scott McMillan, who heads The McMillan Law Firm in La Mesa, California, has gained local press for organizing people in the small East San Diego town to prevent looters, most recently on San Diego Fox News as seen here.
Scott McMillan San Diego attorney gained national press, not for his failed law practice, but for a Tweet wishing older people would simply be left to die from COVID-19, see news report here.
However, San Diego attorney Scott McMillan has not made the news in any significant manner for anything positive concerning his law practice. For example, Scott McMillan had recently lost a federal appeal where he sued in part to remove a report about him related to child molestation. See report as attached exhibit here. The federal judge dismissed the lawsuit , see order here, and the Ninth Circuit affirmed the decision.
In another recently case a federal judge refused to dismiss fraud allegations against Scott McMillan and Michelle Volk San Diego attorney.
In 2018, the State Bar of California basically called a law school Scott McMillan ran out of his small old office a scam where it points out in the report the law books were out of date, no student had ever graduated from the McMillan Academy of Law in twelve years, and (brace yourself) only three students had ever attended the “law school.” The state shut the law school down. See State Bar of California report here.
In any case, the only notoriety I have found of San Diego attorney Scott McMillan I can locate is for nothing good and certainly nothing news worthy about winning any major case.
