Stam Audio

Complaint: I sent a payment of $694 to Stam Audio for an SA4000 on June 26, 2018 via PayPal. On July 26th, I had not received the unit yet, so I reached out to Stam via email to cancel my order and instead apply the $694 I had already sent towards a different piece of equipment, a 1073 MPA w/ Sowter Transformer. Joshua Stam indicated that the remaining balance for that piece of equipment would come to $310, which I paid on August 7th 2018 via paypal (including a $4 service fee, total $314 for the transaction.) Joshua indicated at that time that the unit I paid for ($1008 total) woudl ship in August 2018. That date was then pushed to September, and then pushed to November. Emails went unanswered for weeks at a time and claims about shipping dates and availability were false. I began requesting a full refund in early January and was instead promised my unit would ship that week. I finally received my 1073 in mid January 2019 after threatening to report Stam to consumer finance protections, and was extremely disappointed to receive a unit with a 60 cycle hum on channel 1. There was also a loud pop every time the gain was increased from 50 to 55 on channel 1. According to Josh, this pop happens on EVERY unit and is not a design flaw. I shipped to Jeff at SES audio for repair and he confirmed the input transformer was shot. Joshua’s response to this situation was as follows… “Having an input transformer fail is not something I can control and Carnhill happens to have a very low failure rate

Yes it is. Based on the user review published on YScam.com, it is strongly advised to avoid Stam Audio in any dealing and transaction.
Not really. In spite of the review published here, there has been no response from Stam Audio. Lack of accountability is a major factor in determining trust.
Because unlike YScam.com, other websites get paid to remove negative reviews and replace them with fake positive ones.
Stam Audio is rated 1 out of 5 based on the complaints submitted by our users and is marked as POOR.
Never trust websites which offer a shady ‘advocacy package’ to businesses. Search for relevant reviews on Ripoff Report and Pissed Consumer to see more unbiased complaints.
