The Employment Law Group Washington DC

Complaint: The Employment Law Groups impressive website is the beginning point of their elaborate scam. My experience with them reminds me of an old show I once saw called CRIMINALS IN PLAIN SIGHT. I was in a very vulnerable position in reference to my employer and they took complete advantage of my emotional state. They RIPPED ME OFF doing NOTHING to help me at a time I needed them the most. They were highly compensated yet when I needed them, they refused to do their job. At the conclusion of the arbitration case, I felt alone, totally on my own and ripped off while my lawyer sat in a chair in a yoga position, typed on his blackberry and said NOTHING to help me. DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU! In my case, before accepting me as a client they had me meet with 4 different specialists (1st RED flag) to determine if I had acase they could successfully defend. (These meetings were really set to determine if I were a rip-off candidate). After meeting with their specialists they require a substantial deposit upfront (2nd RED flag). Within 2 months that substantial deposit was gone and they requested more money to continue the case (3rd RED flag). They charged ridiculous rates for email communication and brief phone conversations. (4th RED flag) My liar insisted that I stay in a hostile work environment, for leverage reasons. (5th RED flag) They ignored communication from my company that directed us to followarbitration guidelines immediately. Instead they pursued a lawsuit to prolong the case. (6th RED flag). When challenged about the costs, the lawyer became irritated with me as if I were inappropriate for me to question their charges. (6th RED flag) When we finally made it to arbitration at 7 months into the case (instead of at 2 months) the lawyer left out of the meeting several times, was totally distracted and said NOTHING to help me while allowing the company representative to question me for a total of 6 hours. They were paid a substantial amount of money and THIS IS HOW THEY REPRESENTED ME! Now you may say, how many RED flags did you need? Well that is easy to say now that I am on the outside of the financially abusive bad relationship I had with them. All of those RED flags are clear to me now because hindsight is 20/20. I was in a desperate and emotionally bad place when I selected this firm. I sincerely regret that today; they are suppose to serve, regardless of my condition, NOT rip off! I am writing today to confirm the first complaint posted here in Jan 2010 is what I went through as well and I hope that I can HELP EVEN ONE PERSON avoid getting ripped off by this company. Sooner or later we all pay if we use and abuse people…they might not realize it but they will one day regret making a bad situation worse by ripping people off instead of simply doing their job!
