I purchased a Visiontek Geforce 3 graphics card for my PC on 9/17/01. Recently a part called a capacitor fell off the card, causing it to malfunction (and also showing the shoddy workmanship of the card). Since Visiontek claims to have a lifetime replacement warranty for their products to the original owner (which I am) I figured no problem, I’d get an RMA and get a new on the way. I contacted them for an RMA, and and after a somewhat aggravating process to prove that you are the original and have one of their cards and all that sort of fun stuff, found out that I have to pay them to replace their defective card under warranty. Yes, that is correct you did not mis-read it – they want to be paid to replace their defective crap that supposedly has a warranty. nFrankly, I wasn’t interested in that I’d rather buy better merchandise from a company that will really stand behind their products (and these do exist, unfortunately Visiontek is not one of them.) Given how shoddy their stuff is, I can almost understand it. My point here is avoid this company. There is LOTS of competition out there so take advantage of it, and buy somewhere else from someone who makes quality products and stands behind them. nEdnJanesville, WisconsinU.S.A.
